400-007 CCDE Written Exam
The CCDE Written exam (400-007) validates High-Level Design (HLD) aspects as well as business requirements within the context of Enterprise network architecture. The exam is a two-hour, multiple choice test with 90-110 questions that focuses on core enterprise network architecture HLD aspects. The exam serves as a prerequisite for the CCDE Practical Exam and will continue to be available as a means of recertifying your expert-level and lower certifications. The exam is closed book and no outside reference materials are allowed.
Practical Exam
The CCDE Practical Exam v3.0 is an 8-hour scenario-based exam, consisting of four scenarios, one of which the candidate can select, providing the flexibility to include topics related to your area of expertise, in addition to validating core enterprise architecture technologies. The CCDE v3.0 Practical exam will be delivered at Cisco Certification centers.
Note: In order to be able to book the practical exam you first need to pass the 400-007 Written exam, you then have a period of up to 3 years in order to take your practical exam. If your practical exam attempt falls outside of the 3 year window then you guessed it, you are taking the 400-007 again!
